Dear Mr Weatherman,
I remember way back when I was at school revising for my exams and spending much of the revision leave lying in the back garden working by the light of the sun - doing my part for the environment by keeping electricity costs down, it was not to sunbathe!
However, my plan back fired on one occasion when I was just resting my eyes lounging on the very comfy, squishy sun lounger after reading through some riveting notes and woke up with a bit of a red face...

Unfortunately being a red head I don't tan, so it was slightly embarrassing the next day at the exam.
My question to you Mr Weatherman is where is our Summer and when is arriving with us. Please reply soon as I am getting cold!
I have been keeping warm over the last month by sewing away like a mad woman for stripykat. You may have noticed that there are some lovely new bags on stripykat.com even if I don't say so myself. I even sold one on the day it went up...
I made the Plaid shoulder bag from some gorgeous fabric that is similar to the fabric I used for Tim's new man bag. It is really smart looking and is lovely to sew with, really strong.
I also have some fabulous felted wool that I sourced and am creating some really interesting bags.

I have had to be surgically removed from the trusty Bernina sewing machine a couple of times this month. We've been working our little socks off and I have got some new hair bands, scarves and cases, ideal for your iPod, BlackBerry or any other mobile piece of technology you may have.
Mandy's shop in Crieff is opening in mid June. It's called An cnoc and there will be stripykat scarves and hairbands on offer.
I also got great news last week to say I've got a place at the West End Craft Fair at St Johns for the International Edinburgh Festival. I was there last year and loved every minute of it. I will be giving you more details nearer the time but stripykat will be there from 12th August with lots of goodies on offer.
So until next time be good and take care
Katie
