stripykat has visited the beauticians and come out looking oh so gorgeous, sleek and sophisticated and is now ready for a small aperitif and a sit down.
We’ve been busy working behind the scenes and I have learnt an awful lot about mySQL databases, PHP, and back ends, which let’s be honest just sound rude.
I am really pleased with the new site, it’s clear and easy to navigate round and there are also more images of the products to give you a better idea of each item before you buy.
There’s also a new testimonial page, fear not, the newsletters are still there. The bags are separated in to shoulder bags and clutch bags making it easier to find exactly what you are looking for. The ever popular MP3 and phone cases are there as are the hair bands, scarves and cravats with a new addition of belts, which proved very popular at the craft fair.
It’s refreshing to change and update things. I had been watching Mary Queen of Shops which I found very inspiring indeed. I love Mary’s blunt no nonsense talking, her love of huge accessories, total common sense and ability to really get the point across while motivating the people in the process.
Updating, energising and taking your company in a different direction is exciting and exhilarating, scary but thrilling.
Many a person has told me I don’t do change. I am quite like that when it comes to certain things. I suppose it’s because, yes I admit it, I am a control freak. However, when it comes to stripykat I am constantly trying to push myself and stripykat to see where it goes, which I have to tell you is thoroughly exciting.
stripykat has recently turned two years old and yes we did have a bubbly to celebrate. It’s been through a lot, as I have, it’s grown, developed, matured and I hope hasn’t lost the initial element that inspired me to set it up in the first place.
A big handbag sized thank you to Tim me hubby. He put my vision and design in to the site, which I would never have managed myself.
I also want to thank all of you guys, without you I would have no stripykat. Well I would, but it would consist of an overflowing store cupboard of unsold stock.
I love designing and creating each product. What often starts as one thing ends up looking totally different, which is one of the many joys of stripykat, I am not restricted and that’s what I love and I hope you do too.
So not to sound too much like Gwenyth Paltrow at her Oscar speech I want to thank everyone for their ongoing support in stripykat.
Enjoy the new web site and I would love to hear if you have any positive or indeed negative feedback about it.
Until next time be good and take care
