X Factor or Strictly Come Dancing?  Simon Cowell or Brucie, I am in no doubt this is a question that splits a lot of households throughout Britain every Saturday night.

Well in our house I have managed to get my own way and Strictly it is. I absolutely love to dance and watching the celebrities in their amazing outfits, dancing the week and nights away is great fun and I have to admit it,  I am slightly jealous!

So from shimmying around the house what else has November brought?  Fireworks, bon fires, dark nights, crisp bright days, dooking for apples, flying kites and of course more lovely stock for Christmas presents from stripykat.

Yes, Christmas is just around the corner, it is official.  Today I heard the dulcet tones of Mariah Carey on the radio, belting out All I want for Christmas.  I do have to admit I did roll my eyes to that, but it is a good tune and takes me back to my University days.

I have also been on line buying some amazingly groovy fabric that will be arriving with me shortly.  I have bought fabrics from designers such as Anna Maria Horner, Patricia Bravo and Etsuko Furuya to name but a few.  They are all brand new designs so you are sure to keep ahead of the game with a stripykat bag or accessory.

So that’s about it for this month, I know it’s short and sweet but I have a cup of tea and lots of sewing to be getting on with.
