Hello and welcome to the April newsletter from stripykat.

Tim and I have just returned from a lovely week's holiday in a little village called Low Row in Yorkshire. We stayed in the most gorgeous cottage, with a bath, that I was seriously considering uplifting and bringing home with me!! We were with a couple of friends, so enjoyed a week of laughter and chit chat.

Tim, I am sure is happier than anyone as he has finally received his birthday present from me. Yes the "man bag". I know it’s only a couple of months late, but I am sure he'd agree that is was worth waiting for. We were out last night so he tried it out with all his diabetic kit, phone, wallet and other general stuff and it looked very smart if I don't say so myself.

Tim helped design the bag, and let me tell you he's a demanding customer. I certainly used my skills to the max and I am really pleased with how it's turned out. It's made from some ultra swanky herringbone tweed fabric, which is upholstery weight and inherently FR'd, so if he's ever at a concert waving his lighter in time to the music and accidently drops it the bag is safe!!

I got a lovely email from Amanda who is opening a shop and workshop to promote Scottish handmade art and crafts in Crieff in June this year. Crieff is a lovely Scottish town nestled within Perthshire, so next time you are near there be sure to pop in to check out the lovely crafts.

I have also applied to be at the Edinburgh Craft Fair again this year so fingers crossed I wasn't too late putting in my application. I will hopefully hear soon if I have been successful.

So now I have finished Tim's bag it's back to concentrating on stripykat. I am updating the stock regularly with new handmade bags, scarves, hairbands and mp3 cases which are great for your BlackBerry, iPods or iPhones, so be sure to keep an eye on the site for the new products coming through.

I have some lovely Spring fabrics in and will be placing another order with my friendly supplier in America, who has some fantastic fabrics to choose from for the Summer.
