Frequently asked questions - ordering and delivery
Is shopping with stripykat secure? Yes it is - we know an awful lot about accessories but nothing about 128 bit secure socket encryption so all the payment processes are outsourced to PayPal who know an awful lot about security (but, funnily enough, not a lot about handbags).
They handle all our payments through their world-class secure systems, we don't even get to see or store your credit card details. So please do rest assured your payment is done through the best people and is 100% secure!
How much is postage & packing? That depends on whether it's in the UK or international. You can also pay a bit extra and have your product insured by the Royal Mail. When you come to check out, type your location and you'll be given a variety of options and the cost of each one.
How long do I have to wait before I get my order? Orders are sent in the UK by first class Royal Mail, which takes up to 2 working days. International orders may take up to ten working days. If in doubt or you're in a wild rush please contact Katie.
How do I know you've got my order? When we receive your order Katie will email you to let you know. Your order will be logged into the stripykat system and will keep you up to date on its progress. If you have any queries at any time just drop Katie an email or log into your account here.
How will my order arrive? Your order will be sent to you by Royal Mail first class post or air mail, depending on where in the world you are. Every order is carefully wrapped in tissue paper (with the price label taken off - in case you're giving it as a present) and put into either a box or jiffy envelope depending on the size of the order.
Can I track my order on-line? You can indeed - click "Log in" on the top menu bar to get into your account - use the user name and password you set up when you ordered your product to get the latest updates. Katie will also email you to keep you informed of your order's progress.
Will my order definitely get to me? The Royal Mail is usually very reliable; but if you're still worried you can insure your order during the payment process. It usually adds just a pound or two to the cost and is certainly worthwhile for larger orders.
What if I don't like my order? You can return things to Katie in the same condition as she sent them to you within seven days and she'll give you a full refund.
Though, of course, we hope you will like our lovely handmade stuff and so you won't have to return it.

Do you do international orders? Yes indeedy! stripykat ships nationally, internationally, around the corner, over the hills and far away. We frequently ship to the rest of Europe and we have a lot of regular customers in the USA. Check out our international testimonials to hear from some happy customers!

What if I have a problem with my order? In the unlikely event you have a problem with your order, you can contact me by email or phone and speak to the designer and manufacturer directly and any problems will be sorted out quickly and easily. The benefits of buying from a small, independent shop in action!
Can I buy presents on the site? I thought you looked like a generous sort! During the ordering process you can specify different billing and delivery addresses - so you get all the invoices and paperwork while the lucky recipient gets the gift.
Products are wrapped in black tissue paper and look really cool. We also make sure not to put price labels, marketing guff or anything else in with the package.
We can arrange gift certificates, but you can't buy them through the website directly, if you email Katie we can tell you how we do them (it's not complicated, honest).
