Hot off the Press!

I am sat writing this with the rain lashing down our windows on what has been a truly miserable day weather wise! With a slightly sore head due to lack of sleep not the red wine that I was drinking at Willie and Sheila's bonfire party last night – honest!

I went to buy the fireworks and was asked for ID – how to make a girl feel good! However, I am sure they were just giving me the cheap banter that keeps them going on a long Saturday afternoon in retail, but it was oh so nice to be asked. I got two big boxes of explosives including one that I bought purely for the name. "Blow your pants off" It did not disappoint let me tell you!

stripykat had a fantastically exciting phone call a few weeks ago from Charlotte. What's exciting about that I hear you cry. Well Charlotte is from Vogue. She introduced herself and then proceeded in telling me all about this feature they are running in the December's issue. To be honest there was a lot I probably missed as I was just so amazed someone from Vogue was phoning me! Not many people know this but I have a stash of Vogues in the wardrobe. Vogue to me is epitome of style and fashion. My collection includes a few American Vogues, an Australian Vogue and plenty of British Vogues. So to cut what is a rambling story short, stripykat is being featured in December's issue of VOGUE!! Whoopppie!

I have dropped off all the stripykat products at the National Museum of Scotland for the Gifted Exhibition.

It's running from 13th November, which is also my birthday so a lovely birthday present. It's going to be beside this exhibition which I will also be visiting.
There are bags, scarves, hair bands and iPod and Blackberry cases. Everything there is for sale so it's a great opportunity to get a gift for that special some one.

As you can tell from walking down the High Street Christmas is fast approaching, so I am busy sewing lots of new products for the site and stockists.

The Blackberry or iPod cases are selling really well. They literally flew off the shelf at the craft fair so am replenishing the stocks quickly. A great gift idea I know I will certainly be giving a few away this year.

I am going to be placing another big fabric order from various stockists in America and ask my very kind, loving sister (she might be reading this) to bring it over with her. Rachel is heading over for a month with Sophie and Rory, which I am so excited about. Tim and I are taking Sophie to the pantomime, which is a very British thing they don't have pantos in the USA. So there will be lots of shouting "he's behind you!" Can hardly wait.
