Archive of things that are now, sadly, sold

Look at what you could have won! Welcome to the part of the site that I have devoted to a few of the missed opportunities - the archive of the handmade accessories I have already sold.

The selection here is to give you an idea of my work. As each item is designed and handmade by me, I don't have a stock pile of products, so this is just a taster of what has been on offer.

If you see some fabric or a style of bag you love that is not currently featured in the katalog then please contact me to see if I can help you out. As you know stripykat only makes one of anything so I am unable to remake a product to the exact specifications of an old one, but if there are elements of a particular item you just love, then I will be more than happy to make something for you.

Hungry caterpillar

handmade bags
inside pocket
When I saw this Hungry Caterpillar fabric I jumped at it. All the happy childhood memories came flooding back. Bed time reading at its best. On one side the big caterpillar is strutting his stuff and on the other he is chomping away on a huge leaf. The base of the bag is shaped and is lined in red cotton. The straps are red faux leather piped handles with velvet tie fasteners. There is a pocket inside the bag and the bag is top stitched in blue and green thread. Relive your childhood with this fantastic bag. Remember, each stripykat handmade handbag is totally unique, made from an original, hand drafted pattern.
facing the stars
Wow! You will certainly be noticed with this little number! Facing the Stars is made up with fantastic monochrome fabric by Alexander Henry and is mixed with star-spangled fabric to continue the striking affect. The back and the front of the bag is made up of panels, with the back being pleated and the front made up of an asymmetric panel. An elastic ribbon fastener, married with a retro black and metal button, keeps the inside of this bag safe from prying hands. Complimented with a starry internal pocket, the lining is an eye catching contrasting purple to match the lining of the long shoulder straps. The Alexander Henry fabric is reminiscent of an Andy Warhol piece. It's retro and stylish, making this little handmade bag ideal for day or night. Remember, each stripykat handmade handbag is totally unique, made from an original, hand drafted pattern.
